Tristan Haider Wins 4th round of Super 7 series Super Late Model Main Event

South Sound Speedway on Saturday June 22, 2024, was full of excitement with five classes on hand. Super Late Models, 13 cars for 100-laps, Black Lake Towing Legends, 11 cars for 30-laps, Olympia Auto Sales & RV South Sound Modifieds, 12 cars for 40-laps, Olympia Overhead Doors Tuners, 22 cars for 20-laps, and Quality Quick Lube-n-Tune Bandoleros, 10 cars for 15-laps.
Super Late Model Main Event started with Tristan Haider on the pole, and Mitch Franklin on the outside. After the green flag coming out of 4, Trevor Flora, Tom Sweatman, Matt Doyle, Scott Rinkel, Jeff Peterson, Shawn Jones get together, bringing out caution number 1 and a complete restart. Haider takes the lead on lap 1. On lap 30, turn 2, Wes Maden spins into the wall, bringing out caution number 2. On lap 50, turn 2, Bob Presley spins into the wall, bringing out caution number 3. Haider goes on to win the Super Late Model 100-lap Main event, followed by Sweatman, Matt Barrett, Dan Walker, and Franklin to round out the top five.
Matt Doyle had a fast time of 13.785.
Legend Main Event started with Allie-Mae Jones on the pole, and Kyle Kinzebach on the outside. Kinzebach takes the lead on lap 1. Rick McNeill takes the lead on lap 5. Chris Bellanca takes the lead on lap 9 and goes on to win the Legends 30-lap Main event, followed by Dylan Wolf, Kinzebach, Jake Haider, and William Evans to round out the top five.
Chris Bellanca had a fast time of 15.465.
Josh Wharton wins heat race #1, and Kyle Kinzebach wins heat race #2.
SS Modified Main Event started with Kail Beck on the pole, and Bryson Baird on the outside. K. Beck takes the lead on lap 1. Riley Watson takes the lead on lap 9. On lap 33, turn 3, Robert Clark and John Elam spin, bringing out caution number 1. On lap 34, turn 2, John Elam and Roger Beck spin, bringing out caution number 2. R. Watson goes on to win the SS Modified 40-lap Main event, followed by Dan Walker, Gage Sharp, Jeff Henderson, and Jess Sharp to round out the top five.
Riley Watson had a fast time of 14.650.
Jesse Sharp wins heat race #1, and Dan Walker wins heat race #2.
Tuner Main Event started with Jeremy Cleveland on the pole, and Billy Buchanan on the outside. J. Cleveland takes the lead on lap 1. A.J. Yocom takes the lead on lap 2. Royce Iverson takes the lead on lap 6. Yocom re-takes the lead on lap 9. On lap 12, turn 4, Mary-Jane Gallwas, Gunner Callier, Jake Utterback, and Yocom get together, bringing out caution number 1. Zach Wisely takes the lead on lap 13. On lap 13, Front stretch, Buchanan stalls, bringing out caution number 2. Chris Branon takes the lead on lap 14. Iverson re-takes the lead on lap 15. On lap 15, turn 1, Callier’s car catches fire, bringing out caution number 3. Charles Lamere takes the lead on lap 16. On lap 17, turn 2, Shelby Padilla spins, bringing out caution number 4. Iverson re-takes the lead on lap 19 and goes on to win the Tuner 20-lap Main event, followed by Dean Utterback, LaMere, Josue Leyva, and Wisely to round out the top five.
Charles LaMere wins heat race #1, Shelby Padilla wins heat race #2, and Troy Hamilton wins heat race #3.
Bandoleros Main Event started with Jace Ellis on the pole. After the green flag was waved, turn 2, Rylan Presley and Kaiden Brown get together and spin, bringing out caution number 1. Ellis takes the lead on lap 1 and goes on to win the Bandoleros 15-lap Main event, followed by Alexander Boyatt, Hemi Franks, Ryder Jones, and T.J. Schlund to round out the top five.
Jace Ellis had a fast time of 17.690 (new track record).
