Bob Presley Wins Wes Rhodes Super Late Model 126 Main Event

South Sound Speedway on Saturday July 6, 2024, was full of excitement with four classes on hand. Super Late Models, 15 cars for 126-laps, Hinkle Homes Hobby Stocks, 7 cars for 35-laps, Auto Tech Services Mini Stocks, 9 cars for 35-laps, and FSCRA/Super 4s, 8 cars for 35-laps.
Super Late Model Main Event started with Kyle Cottom on the pole, and Tristan Haider on the outside. Cottom takes the lead on lap 1. Haider takes the lead on lap 24. Matt Doyle takes the lead on lap 25. On lap 33, turn 4, Haider brings his car to a stop, bringing out caution number 1. On lap 61, turn 4, Logan Cole gets into Matt Barrett, bringing out caution number 2. On lap 63, turn 2, Doyle’s car is slow, bringing out caution number 3. On re-start of lap 63, turn 1, Tom Sweatman, Scott Rinkel, Mike Brooks, Shawn Jones, and Scott Graf get together, bringing out caution number 4. Zach Riehl takes the lead on lap 63. On lap 64, turn 4, Graf spins, bringing out caution number 5. On lap 66, turns 1 and 2, Doyle and Cottom get together, bringing out caution number 6. On lap 67, turn 1, Brooks hits the wall, bringing out caution number 7. On lap 85, turn 4, Riehl blows a motor, bringing out caution number 8. Bob Presley takes the lead on lap 86. On lap 107, turn 2, Cottom’s car is slow, bringing out caution number 9. Presley goes on to win the Super Late Model 126-lap Main event, followed by Zandar Peters, Cole, Jones, and Doyle to round out the top five.
Matt Doyle had a fast time of 13.801.

Hobby Stock Main Event started with Bryce Tyler on the pole, and Jeremy Barabe on the outside. Tyler takes the lead on lap 1. On lap 1, turn 4, Brandon Chapman and James Warren get together, bringing out caution number 1. Barabe takes the lead on lap 7. Wally Austin takes the lead on lap 9. On lap 19, turn 2, Warren spins, bringing out caution number 2. Austin goes on to win the Hobby Stock 35-lap Main event, followed by Chapman, Warren, Andrew Woods, and Tyler to round out the top five.
Wally Austin had a fast time of 15.928.
Jeremy Barabe wins the trophy dash.
Bryce Tyler wins the heat race.
Mini Stock Main Event started with Richard Woolverton on the pole, and Jess Boczar on the outside. After the green flag, turn 4, Josh Peters and Ron Schlund Jr. get together, bringing out caution number 1. On the re-start, turn 1, Mac Angeledes spins, bringing out caution number 2. Peters takes the lead on lap 1. On lap 13, turn 4, Angeledes spins, bringing out caution number 3. On lap 24, turn 4, Boczar, Peters and Shawn Jones get together, bringing out caution number 4. Woolverton takes the lead on lap 25. Charles Lamere takes the lead on lap 27. Jones takes the lead on lap 31. On lap 31, turn 3, Jones and Peters try passing a lap car and they all get together with Peters hitting the exit tires, bringing out caution number 5 and a checkered. Lamere wins the Mini Stock 32-lap Main event, followed by Jones, Woolverton, Boczar, and Peters to round out the top five.
Josh Peters had a fast time of 16.377.

FSCRA/Super 4 Main Event started with Vic Rogers on the pole, and Eric Kaas on the outside. Kaas takes the lead on lap 1. On lap 1, turn 4, Ron Grosvenor and Rogers get together, bringing out caution number 1. Tommy Laxson takes the lead on lap 2 and goes on to win the FSCRA/Super 4 35-lap Main event, followed by Kaas, Grosvenor, Craig Neves, and Robert Golden to round out the top five.
