Matt Doyle Wins Chad Hinkle 138 Main Event

South Sound Speedway on Saturday May 25, 2024, was full of excitement with four classes on hand. Powersports NW Super Late Models, 13 cars for 138-laps, Hinkle Homes Hobby Stocks, 9 cars for 30-laps, Olympia Auto Sales & RV South Sound Modifieds, 8 cars for 30-laps, and Olympia Overhead Doors Tuners, 16 cars for 20-laps.
Super Late Model Main Event started with Matt Barret on the pole, and Logan Cole on the outside. Cole takes the lead on lap 1. On lap 3, turn 4, L. Cole’s car gets terribly slow, bringing out caution number 1. Tom Sweatman takes the lead on lap 4. Barrett takes the lead on lap 5, On lap 8, back stretch, Jeff Peterson come to a stop, bringing out caution number 2. Shawn Jones takes the lead on lap 9. Barrett re-takes the lead on lap 20. Matt Doyle takes the lead on lap 23. On lap 41, turn 2, Mike Brooks and Peterson spin, bringing out caution number 3. On lap 42, front stretch, Dan walker and Scott Rinkel get together, bringing out caution number 4. On lap 77, back stretch, Brooks spins again, bringing out caution number 5. On lap 104, front stretch, Brooks and Rinkel get together, bringing out caution number 6. On lap 126, turn 4, Mason Cole and Barrett get together, bringing out caution number 7. On lap 133, back stretch, Kyle Cottom and Rinkel get together, bringing out caution number 8 and a red flag. Doyle goes on to win the Chad Hinkle 138-lap Main event, followed by Tristan Haider, Dan Walker, Sweatman, and Barrett to round out the top five.

Jeff Peterson wins the trophy dash.
Hobby Stock Main Event started with Eric Woods on the pole, and Andre Pilon on the outside. Woods takes the lead on lap 1. Pilon takes the lead on lap 5 and goes on to win the Hobby Stock 30-lap Main event, followed by Zack Floreck, Wally Austin, Justin Floreck, and Joe Champ to round out the top five. Pilon got Disqualified.
Zach Floreck had a fast time of 16.094.

Wally Austin won heat race #1, and Bryce Tyler won heat race #2.
South Sound Modifieds Main Event started with Jesse Sharp on the pole, and Robert Clark on the outside. Sharp takes the lead on lap 1. Dan Walker takes the lead on lap 14 and goes on to win the South Sound Modifieds 30-lap Main event, followed by Riley Watson, JuJu Barbera, Sharp, and Jeff Henderson to round out the top five.
Riley Watson had a fast time of 14.669.

Tuner Main Event started with Brad Peterson on the pole, and Jake Utterback on the outside. After the green flag, back stretch, A.J. Yocom and Artie Champ get together, Champ spins off track onto pit road, bringing out caution number 1. B. Peterson takes the lead on lap 1. B. Peterson breaks out on lap 2, and Zack Wisely takes over the lead. Champ breaks out on lap 3. Royce Iverson takes the lead on lap 4. Gunner Callier breaks out on lap 4. Wisely re-takes the lead on lap 5. Yocom breaks out on lap 5. Jordan Peterson takes the lead on lap 7. Yocom breaks out again on lap 7. Iverson re-takes the lead on lap 8. Callier breaks out again on lap 8. On lap 9 J. Peterson and Iverson get together, bringing out caution number 2. Wisley re-takes the lead on lap 10. J. Utterback takes the lead on lap 12. Dean Utterback takes the lead on lap 13. Wisely re-takes the lead on lap 14. B. Peterson breaks out again on lap 14. D. Utterback and Wisely swap the lead on laps 15 thru 19. Chris Branon takes the lead on lap 20 and goes on to win the Tuner 20-lap Main event, followed by Wisely, D. Utterback, J. Utterback, and Iverson to round out the top five.

Brad Peterson wins heat #1, and Jordon Peterson wins heat #2.
