Riley Watson Wins the South Sound Modifieds Main Event

South Sound Speedway on Saturday July 13, 2024, was full of excitement with five classes on hand. Olympia Auto Sales & RV South Sound Modifieds, 10 cars for 50-laps, Black Lake Towing Legends, 13 cars for 35-laps, Quality Quick Lube-n-Tune Bandoleros, 7 cars for 15-laps, D&S Light Truck and Auto Pro Late Models, 2 cars for 25-laps, and AMCA Bandit Dwarfs, 9 cars for 35-laps.
SS Modified Main Event started with Bryson Baird on the pole, and Blake Harvey on the outside. B. Harvey takes the lead on lap 1. On lap 8, turns 1 & 2, Zandar Peters spins, bringing out caution number 1. Robert Clark takes the lead on lap 9. On lap 18, turn 2, Peters’s car slows and comes to a stop on the back stretch, bringing out caution number 2. Riley Watson takes the lead on lap 19. On lap 38, turn 2, Baird spins, bringing out caution number 3. Watson goes on to win the SS Modified 50-lap Main event, followed by Dan Walker, Clark, John Elam, and Gage Sharp to round out the top five.
Riley Watson had a fast time of 15.000.
Bryson Baird wins heat race #1, and Riley Watson wins heat race #2.
Legend Main Event started with Josh Wharton on the pole, and Brandon Cole on the outside. Wharton takes the lead on lap 1. On lap 22, turn 4, Chris Bellanca and Rick McNeill get together, bringing out caution number 1. Dylan Wolf takes the lead on lap 28 and goes on to win the Legends 35-lap Main event, followed by Wharton, Cole, Shane Sawin, and Kyle Kinzebach to round out the top five.
Chris Bellanca had a fast time of 15.461.
Shane Sawin wins heat race #1, and Brandon Cole wins heat race #2.
Bandoleros Main Event started with Jace Ellis on the pole. Ellis takes the lead on lap 1. Hemi Franks takes the lead on lap 4. On lap 11, turn 2, Kaiden Brown spins, bringing out caution number 1. Franks goes on to win the Bandoleros 15-lap Main event, followed by Ellis, Ryder Jones, TJ Schlund, and Brown to round out the top five.
Jace Ellis had a fast time of 17.827.
Hemi Franks won the heat race.
Pro Late Model Main Event started with Tom Sweatman on the pole, and Trevor Flora on the outside. Flora takes the lead on lap 1. Sweatman takes the lead on lap 3. Flora re-takes the lead on lap 4 and goes on to win the Pro Late Model 25-lap Main event, followed by Sweatman.
Trevor Flora had a fast time of 14.453.
Trevor Flora won the heat race.
Dwarfs Main Event started with Ryan Bishop on the pole, and Robert Stark on the outside. Bishop takes the lead on lap 1. Brian Taylor takes the lead on lap 7. Cameron Stark takes the lead on lap 10. On lap 11, turn 2, Robert Rush spins, bringing out caution number 1. C. Stark goes on to win the Dwarfs 35-lap Main event, followed by Daryl Knutson, Taylor, Bishop, and Dale Knutson to round out the top five.
Cameron Stark had a fast time of 15.193.
